Best Album......EVER!

Aaaah, Ken, what happened to the magic? What about the time when the MUSIC MATTERED, MAN? What happened to the times when we'd be in the studio til dawn with THE BAND, man, and when the last ringing notes died out, we knew we had HIT IT, we had ACHIEVED greatness in our art? We had reached the SUBLIME. What happened, Ken? When did it all go wrong? When did it all go to waste? Was it the drugs? Sure, man, it was the 70's, and hell, everything was AVAILABLE, and we were YOUNG. But how did it go from HONEY SLIDES and KIND BUD and your Mom's homemade wine to all the pills and powders? Were we too naive, too full of ourselves, to see the slide into complacent rock stardom? Were the tours with the Guess Who and Uriah Heep the first step into the abyss? Or maybe it was that supermodel, you know, the one on that show on ABC primtetime, that sent you to your doom.? How can you feed her $1000 a day coke habit, write the SONGS THAT MATTER, do the philanthropy, do the press, do the tours, and be THE MAN 24/7? How could any man do that? It was like a comet to the sun, MAN, you were a shooting star, you know that's what you are. 5 years later, you couldn't get free parking and a cup of coffee in tinsletown. That's how it is, MAN, the parasites just use you up, and when it runs a little dry, they kick you to the curb like trash. But Ken, if you're reading, MAN, I know that you still have the magic, that TOUCH, that beauty with words and music that touched a lot of people, hell, touched me, back in '76. Remember the Garden back in '76 with Kansas opening? Man, that night was STARDUST. It could be like that again, Ken, it could be about the music again, without all the bullshit drugs and sycophants, and psychic vampires. It could be about the SONGS. Well, just wanted to let you know we're thinking of you, wherever you are.

Ken is not from Britain, so his album was not considered within this poll.
