Wish You Were Here
Well, well well. I have been trying to alter the technology of the Natural Blues...and have successfully linked the essential YouTube with Blogger.....To celebrate, I am providing a glimpse of the absolutely brilliant show that Roger Waters played in Cleveland on 9/27/06. What can I say? It was all that it needed to be. Thanks, Roger. As you can see, there were lots of anti-war songs, and the tunes from The Final Cut were especially riveting given the current polical climate. And yes, the inflatable Pig made an entrance....covered with anit-Bush slogans, no less. Best moment? The montage of Syd Barret during "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" in which Roger re-took the song from David Gilmour and showed it for what is is...a tribute to his friend, and not some wanky drug tune about abstractly "going crazy". It put a real face on Roger's concerns as a songwriter.
Alright, what a blast, and the ticket I got was free, too! So you all in all a great show.
